    Video of odd behaviour
Anybody know why she's doing this?

    She is possibly gravid.

to me, looks like she's annoyed by something touching her, possibly the paper from being moved

Hiccups? (just kidding) I've seen snakes do that to push away un-desirable creatures (incl. humans) but I don't see anything in video that's provoking her...:confusd:

No mites, I assume? (itching & biting insects might inspire that motion) Gas pain? -wait & see from a safe distance...:D Gravid...who knows?

I second this - that looks like a push to me. Like AbsoluteApril said, quite possibly the paper being up and weird like that. Then, if she's also smelling another snake (say, a male, and she's no longer receptive) that can increase how touchy she's feeling.

Never hurts to keep an eye out, though.

My Burms do that if they dont want to be bothered and Im trying to pic them up.. I have never seen a Ball do this and my Burms do not send a wave through their entire body, they Kick with one section. That is disturbing to me. You know your animal though, if he is huffy with a ornery temperament then i agree with the others..
Other than that I would check stool for internal parasites.

    Thanks for the replies.

I checked her this morning and she seemed fine.

I thought you may be right about the paper. So I have removed it just for now. I'm gonna post another vid of her I
literally just took. She is not sending the wave through the whole body. There's a dimply kinda shape in her belly.

Apart from this she seems okay. She is alert. To me she does not look distressed. She is resting her head. And looks quite calm.... I don't know of this means alot as I can't speak snake and don't know if she is or not distressed. Just in my observation it seems she isn't.

Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

Please excuse my breathing in the video. Feeling a little under the weather.

That's odd, because there's nothing touching her now...:confusd: What substrate do you keep her on? (Is it possible she swallowed something non-edible?) She appears
to be having intestinal cramps & if you can get a stool sample looked at by a herp vet, it might help? That "dimpling" suggests an internal issue...coupled with the odd
movements suggests that something is causing her internal discomfort...maybe some kind of blockage, or parasites, or other digestive issue. I'd get her seen by a vet-
this is NOT normal. At least CALL an experienced herp vet & describe this, send him this video. Also let him know she is possibly gravid- something might be going wrong. Something about the way she is laying (partly on her side) also suggest discomfort (pain) to me.

If you need help locating one:

I agree... somethings not right at all and I don’t like the Belly. Theres a internal issue. Make a appointment if possible.

She is kept on unprinted newspaper. No chance of digesting anything. She has not pooped in two weeks so I can't get a stool sample yet.

I've contacted the only two rep vets in Dublin, Ireland there's is by email as they are closed now so I can't ring.

Hopefully they will get back tom me tomorrow.

    Again thank you

I also agree, seeing the new video, there may be something wrong internally. I hope you're able to get into the vet and things turn out okay!
