When to start feeding bigger mice & less frequently??
Hi! I have a 4 month old male bumblebee enchi. Currently, he eats 1 live hopper a week. Last BP I had was fully grown and I didn't go through the process of changing her feeding frequency or type, so I'm not exactly sure around when I should start feeding him less frequently and what size mouse.
Any guidance would be super appreciated :)

I don't have an answer to your question, however hoppers are too small for a 4 month old BP.

The guy I got him from advised me to feed him one hopper a week? He works exclusively with snakes and handles many different kinds so he seemed credible to me.. any thoughts?

They eat hoppers for their first 3-5 meals and then quickly move up, depending on the weight of your BP he should be on something bigger by now.

Hoppers are only fed to BPs for their first few meals out of the egg. Typically only 3-5 meals before moving up to small adult mice.

This is why it's so important to do independent research and learn from multiple, reputable sources... before bringing an animal home.

    DonŽt trust just one source.

This is the first meal I've given him since I got him, so I didn't doubt his handler. Its also why I deferred to you guys for input. I'll move him up next week no problem. Not new to BP's, in fact, this is my 3rd, and I had a cali king before too, just have less experience with younger BP's. Thanks for the info! :)

I get ya. Follow the feeding chart (it doesn't have to be to a T) and youŽll be fine.
