Best reasonable priced thermostat currently availble?
    Hello,

I'm looking to buy a thermostat; however, I'm honestly only looking to spend $100.
Are there any viable options around this range that can provide me with peace of mind knowing that it most likely won't kill my snake while I'm at work?
Or would you personally recommend that I bite the bullet and spend 200 on a herpstat?

    Thank You.

Herpstat. Peace of mind and safety of your snake is priceless. But honestly, I can't vouge for any of the other brands.

Thanks for the input. Nice snake btw, is it a lavender or candino?

I recomend the herpstat 1 at $139. It's a proven reliable brand I have so e that have been running for now 14 years straight.

I have also owed cheap thermostats prior to those, and $30/$50 T-stats that fail after 1 or 2 years end up being more expensive not to mention the lack of peace of mind.

Through the years I've used both Helix and Herpstat thermostats for my racks, and though many keepers have had good experiences with Helix, I personally prefer Herpstat. I've been using Herpstats since 2009, and my basic units are reliable and simple to use. Anytime I've had heating or thermostat questions the Herpstat team has delivered great personalized service.

They're are lots of places to save money in herpkeeping, however, regardless of brand, IMO you'll never regret buying a reliable, quality thermostat.

Another herpstat user here. I use four of them and as others have said, this is one area you want to get the best you can get. Herpstats are awesome. Especially their built in safety features. I also recommend them. :gj:

Another bump for herpstat. I’ve got three Redline 2s. They’re the cat’s meow for sure.
