I have a 376g male, who I got in Feb. He is my first bp and shocker, I'm having issues with him eating. He was on frozen thawed when I got him. He took f/t rat pups for me no problem. The first 2 weeks after I got him on first offering. Then ate weekly. The last time I went to get more rat pups, they were out so they suggested weanlings. Based on his girth, and your feeding guide posted here, this should be fine, but he hasn't eaten for me since switching (2 weeks now). He is clearly hungry. He's cruising his tank looking for food. He'll strike and constrict for 10-15 minutes but then just leave it there. I don't think it's too big, but I still haven't seen him actually try to swallow it. It's like he gets board and leaves. I've been leaving it in there until the following morning just in case he comes back to it, but it's usually still there.
I'm not all that worried yet, but his is a little young and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas. I'd switch back tonoups if I could get ahold of them but the place I get them from has no idea when they'll get more in. Thanks.
