    Weird eyes
My ball python has really weird looking eyes, they look cloudy but not how they would look when hes in shed. It's as if they're kinda scratched? I dont really know. Hes acting a little different too; he refused his last meal which hes never ever done before. Hes still active at night tho. Hes at 1147g so I thought that that could be the reason as to why he stopped eating (1000g wall?). I just dont know why his eyes look weird. His humidity is always between 60-75% and temps r normal: Hot spot: 32C, Ambient 28C and cool side is 24C, Ambient 24C

Maybe retained eye-caps? Did you check that everything came off OK when he shed last?

When was the last shed? Sometimes they go into another shed pretty quick: I'd use a small bright flashlight in a dark room (shine across his eyes from the side) to see if any fogginess.

What is the humidity in his enclosure? (maybe dehydration?)

Definitely not, every shed he has had with me has been perfect, I always check for eye caps and the end of the tail especially :) His humidity never gets below 50% but is usually sitting between 60%-75% His last shed was the 8th Feb and theres usually about 3 months between each shed at the minute

    Hi,

    What hides are you using?

My lesser got "scuffed eyes" once from an unglazed terracotta hide. It went away with each shed but then, a few weeks later, it would show up again.

Took me ages to understand the interior of the hide was the problem.

He has exo terra hides which are kinda rough inside but hes had these hides for a while and this is the first time his eyes have been like this. I guess it could be tho, it definitely makes sense!

It does make sense, & especially if he's isn't noticeably more cloudy now-? If it was an oncoming shed cycle, a few days should tell you one way or the other.
