Laws in Ontario Canada?

I live in Ottawa Ontario and recently took in a burm from an owner that could not care for it properly. She has a large scar on her neck and I was told that she had trouble eating when she was young so they tried to force feed her and split her neck. Due to this she is quite small in size, she is 7 years old and only 6.5FT long. She has been eating on 4 small rats each meal instead of one larger rat because I was told her neck can not stretch as much due to the scar. She seems healthy at the moment but I wouldnt mind having a vet check her out due to her history of health issues but the laws in Ontario seem quite unclear and I dont want to take her to a vet and risk having her taken away. It seems that it is illegal to own a snake over 3m. Does anyone know if this is based on the individual snake or the species and if a vet could actually have an illegal snake taken away?

I would contact any herp societies or reptile rescues in your province, they might know and would likely be able to steer you to a good vet as well if you don't have one.

I am unfamiliar with Canadian laws But I would think that length would apply to each individual snake. As far as the vet is concerned, I don’t know if they are obligated to report or confiscate the animal. If you don’t get an answer here you may try anonymously calling a local vet with those questions.
