    Vacation Time
Well, I am leaving cold & horrible IL in winter for the CA Sierra Nevada mountain range to visit the Parents for Thanksgiving. My GF is going to watch DD & Bitey for me, and house sit while I am gone. She knows a little about snake husbandry, and Bitey can be left alone pretty much, so no worries. I also gave her my parents number in case of emergency. I just pretty much wanted to say hey, and see what you guys are doing for Thanksgiving this year.

So um, Hey, and what are you guys doing for Thanksgiving this year?

Working and going hunting ;) Thats how Thanksgiving has been ever since I was a little kid. Nothing like sleeping in a freezin' camp, sitting out in the cold woods all day and having to hunt for your food........it will really make you feel thankful for how easy everyday life really is :D

I'll just be home with the family. It will be kinda nice just hanging around. We've been hopping around so much lately that the lull will be extremely welcome!! :D

    Oh warm, sunny *drool* LOL

    Have a great trip!

I'll just be doing the usual "cook all day and watch it consumed in under 30 including time allowance for burping" thing :hungry:

Remember it's the 50th anniversary of that old American standard....the green bean casserole!

It's just Karl and I and we're picking up a deep fried cajun infused turkey from Popeyes Wednesday (had one of these last year for a work function and OMG......it just melts in your mouth - will freeze leftovers that don't get eaten). Will be cooking the other sides, sweet potatos for Karl, squash casserole for me, probably and apple crisp.

Oh yeah, I'm also picking up a Canine Assistant (small female golden retriever) named Gucci on Wednesday who will be Diamond's "guest" for the holiday! LOL

I volunteer with Canine Assistants and we train service dogs for the physically disabled, so I sometimes bring a dog home for a home visit and more experience in public (they go every where you go - movies, restaurants, grocery store, etc).

Oh yeah, and watching my Atlanta Falcons defeat Detroit Lions on Thursday! LOL
