We have A dog and many plants. We have found this Now about 9 four different bp"s water bowls. Can they be wood mites of some kind of predator mites?

Did you recently changed substrate? Did you recently added wood decor?
If the answer is no, then it is from an animal.
You can test this by removing 1 snake to a quarantine tub with nothing but papertowels, plastic hide and water bowl. When you remove the snake, take a damp papertowel and rub it against the snake from neck to tail. If you see moving black dots, they are snake mites. If not, it does not rule out snake mites. Place that snake in the test tub. Wait 24 hours and see if you still find these things in the water bowl and inside the tub. If you do, they are coming from the snake. If you dont, wait another 24-48hours to be certain. If you do, then the rest of your snakes need to have the entire enclosure cleaned out, and go into mite killing procedures.
If the snake is clean, check your dog. Has it been scratching? Use a flea comb and check for the base of the tail and chin/neck area. Dog ticks seek dark, humid areas to lay their eggs so it is no surprise that they would go to the snake enclosures, especially if the dog has access to your snake tanks. A shake from the dog and those eggs and ticks will fly where they need to go. If the dog has ticks, you will need to check what brand you are using before switching to something more effective.
I have never seen plant mites look like that. I highly doubt it. These ticks have the same legs designed to climb through and hang on to animal hair, that is why I'm curious if you have a pet dog or cat.
