    Eats p/k but not f/t?
I have a few bps that will take p/k no problem but won't touch f/t and getting live is getting harder and harder in my area. Live rodents are like gold here. Any tips?

Assuming you tried all the easy stuff:
-Slow thaw rodents in warm (not hot) water
    -Hairdryer for finish temp.
    -Pre-scent room
    -Feed at Dusk
    -Live Scent item
    -Gerbil Bedding Scent Item

I've also noticed that f/t eaters won't touch rodents that have been frozen too long. If you don't know the age of the prey: Try fresh killing a rodent and then freezing it for a day prior to thawing it and trying to feed it off.

Note: Dirty substrate can also be a f/t mood killer for a ball python.

Worst case: Grow your own rodents--fresh!

    Good Luck! :)

I mean I have 30+ snakes. Lol they eat like beasts except for 3-4 that demand live Rats. I'm apart of like 5 fb pages and haven't seen anything really on craigslist. And yes I've tried the hairdryer, head in hot water, heating pad etc.

Local FB groups for Reps an another for rodent groups. You'll find somebody local. On CL, it will be a rat for rescue. Since they "can't" sell animals on CL.

List your general location an somebody will pipe up. At 30+ you might want to start growing your own.

I build rat racks using this guild:
    http://www.arbreptiles.com/cages/rat_rack.html

I make mine a five shelf model (I'm short) an use 1/4 wire. I use hoppers inside for feeding or 1/2 wire in the front with a 1/4 covering it (so the ASF crawlers don't escape).

    Good luck!

I heard breeding Rats smells horrible and very time consuming. I'm gonna pass on that
