    Mass soiling!
I cleaned, sanitized, and replaced all the substrate in all my tubs and tanks last night. So you know what that means don’t you? It means in the next 3 days, EVERY SINGLE ONE is gonna crap and make a general mess of things!! Happens every time!

It's good practice for having kids...they only wait a few hours. At least you might get a few days?

If you're lucky. With kids you might only get a few minutes, lol.

In my case, the kids prepared me for the snakes!! They’re all growed up now but I remember fondly the days where you would bathe them and put new fresh clothes and a new diaper on them, and 10 minutes later they would have a complete blowout and have a stinky mess all over them, their new clothes, and whatever else they happened to come in contact with (usually me)!

I could swear that snakes wait for a nice, freshly deep-cleaned enclosure to do their business

It does seem that way, but logically, it's only the stress &/or activity we stir up when we move them out of the way to clean...all that motion affects them internally.
I refuse to believe that they're actually that evil. Though there's been times....:confusd:

Haha yeah, I'm sure snakes don't actually have the capacity to scheme, as much as popular media would like us to believe that :) I also wonder if it might have something to do with getting their scent back into the enclosure after it's been washed and all the bedding is changed.
