Handling help
I've had my rescue bp for about two months and I'm still struggling with this and would appreciate advise. My snake isn't quite full grown yet and I'm worried that this will become a significant problem when he gets bigger. He doesn't seem to want to wrap around me when I hold him, I know he's capable of it, when his foster mom gave him to me he was wrapped around her hand just fine. But whenever I'm holding him, he tries to get away, (I'm supporting his body the way the internet advises) and I can't hold him while standing up for a long time because I have a fainting disorder. I also have a slight hand tremor that makes holding him away from my body difficult. I'm sorry if this is kinda messy and I appreciate feedback.

Re: Handling help
I just pretend to be a tree/branches.
Little ones I will just hold loosely in my open hand between my fingers.
Sub-Adults I will pick up loosely where the body thickens and drape them across my arm until they form a tail circle.
Large ones I will pick up firmly where the body thickens behind the neck and then support the lower body with my other hand and drape them across my arm--tail circle again.
When you drape them across your arm they think they are slipping and might fall and so will hold on tight. No problem. :)

Re: Handling help
I always sit down when I’m handling the snakes then there’s no way they can fall plus they feel safe and secure- then kinda let them slither around and keep guiding their head back to me when they try and explore ...

Your "new" snake knows by scent & touch that you aren't the same person he knew before & felt so comfortable with. It may take some time before yours feels safer
with you, enough to "wrap on" better. In the meantime, sit down with him.
