I picked up this basking platform/elevated outcrop by Exo Terra for my scrub the other day. I am completely dumbfounded by it’s horrible design. Installed it last night. I happened to walk by around 9am to find that it had fallen on top of his favorite egg-shaped hide (and not him, thankfully). He had poked his head out because I’m sure it scared the crap out of him.

I immediately retrieved it because, I don’t know, the mounting clip is secured by adhesive backing. In a reptile cage. I’ve used elevated hides and vines before and they are always secured by magnets. How does a company that makes items specifically for reptiles (and amphibians) make a product that is meant to be inside the cage fasthttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...54adb930ef.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...26bf3767ff.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6b1ef430ac.jpgened with adhesive? And terrible adhesive, at that. So, just beware. This product sucks ;)

And, on another note, my monster finally hulked out and broke his favorite hide! Guess that means he’s growing!

Wow, that's awful...just glad no one got hurt. I'd definitely give Exo Terra a "piece of my mind" & demand my money back. :(
