    Open mouth ?
Hay peeps so i know ball pythons open their mouths often to stretch for food or when they have a respiratory infec but this is not the case I saw two weeks ago.
I witnessed my spider letting go of some gas and its very human like with the sounds but with a open and closing mouth at the same time , today he did the open and closing of the mouth about ten times after each other in a sequence but i did not hear any farts being released and he went back into his hide now and went back to sleep. so he does not seem sick, any thoughts on this?

Just because you didn't hear gas being expelled doesn't mean that it wasn't. The snake could have also been realigning its jaw--sometimes they misalign when they yawn :)
