    Bad Luck Continues
So my Father passed away on 06 December, approximately 600km from where I live. I took the trip, attended the Funeral etc. and have been away from home for just on 2 weeks. First bit of bad luck is that I paired 5 pairs this season and not one female took. Second bit of bad luck is that while I was away, a female Enchi Pastel that I never paired this year because she had an RI during the breeding season, dropped an egg while I was away, she was paired last season with a Pastave male but never took, so must have retained sperm, the egg she laid is pretty far gone due to dehydration, nevertheless I am trying to rehydrate it, and it is in the incubator. Third bit of bad luck is that the female seems to have 2 eggs stuck, I will try to massage them out, if not, I will aspirate them. Pics to follow. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...33b8126b01.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c6bbfc3efb.jpg

So sorry for your run of bad luck, the loss of your father and all. Let's hope that you got all the "bad luck" out of the way now for a good long while.

Thank You Sir. I just gave the girl a 20 minute soak in some tepid water. And will give her a Calcium dose tomorrow. If that does not work, I will have to aspirate her.

My condolences. So sorry to hear of your father's passing. And then to come home to that is definitely unfortunate.

My thoughts and best wishes are being sent your way. Good luck with your girl, too.

Well, the luck seems to have changed in 2020. Came home today to find my Bumblebee Girl on 3 eggs. Paring was Fire or Spectre x Bumblebee. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e1b3da0124.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4d23f8547e.jpg

That's a bit of good news to start the year at least, the eggs like nice and healthy too
    Good luck with the incubation.

Sorry to hear about your father passing away

Maybe your bad luck is over! Sorry to hear about everything that happened. Just curious, any update on that first egg or the stuck eggs?

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone.

I managed to massage 3 more eggs out of the egg bound female. There were no more left in her definitely.
Sadly she passed 4 days later.

That is part of the reason for me saying that perhaps the luck has changed in 2020.
