Caresheets for Milksnakes
I've been looking around the web. Is there a really good caresheet to help me learn about how to care for Emi when I get her? Is it okay if she's in a 10 gallon glass tank at first or should I put her in a plastic tub like the ball pythons have?
Re: Caresheets for Milksnakes
A plastic tub is better. A 10 gallon is really too big for a baby colubrid.
try this care sheet:

Re: Caresheets for Milksnakes
Thanks Shelby....just to confirm from that caresheet and a few others I found online....
Household humidity is fine.
Temps should be 76 to 86 to provide the proper gradient. Some caresheets recommend a night time drop down to 70 - 75 but that seems awfully chilly to me (though I'm used to the boa and balls of course). I wasn't even considering a night drop at all. Should we do one though if milks require it?
We'll start Emi off on papertowels and make sure she has hides, water dish and a few things to climb about on as apparently milks like that. Of course a VERY secure lid for these little houdini snakes LOL.

Sorry...umm, what is a night drop???
Re: Caresheets for Milksnakes
a night drop is a drop in temps from day to night.
