    Ball Pythons Are Goofy!
Okay just a cute little story to share. Hope it gives you folks a giggle.

Rionach our smallest female (age 8 months) is a heck of a good eater but the last couple of weeks is doing the funniest thing! Here I am faithfully defrosting her rats, making sure they are in good ziploc baggies, all nice and toasty warm and most importantly dry as a bone and all nice and fluffy. I take great pride in this LOL.

Ri Ri then takes her lovely toasty warm dry rat and drags it over to her water dish and DUNKS IT IN! Soaks the dang thing totally then happily consumes said sopping wet bedraggled looking rat!

Okay the first time I figured isn't that funny and caulked it up to an accident in the way she was eating. Then she does it again! This time I watched carefully and that dang snake looks to be very purposefully dragging her prey to her water dish for a good dunking....what a goof!

Just had to share LOL. Snakes do the funniest things!

That is funny! I also have one that does the exact same thing. How very strange. Maybe it's like some people who have to dunk their cookies in milk. :weirdface

Well I can't figure it LOL. I'll be watching over the next few weeks to see if she keeps this up. It's so funny! She has fresh water all the time so doesn't need a wet rat for hydration or anything wierd like that. Maybe she just really likes her after dinner drink of water to have a rat smell LOL. Who the heck can understand what a ball python does! As long as she eats, she can stand on her head and whistle Dixie while she does it LOL!

the water may be aiding in the consumption process...still kinda funny though.

Well her normal procedure is to snarf down a rat then go have a nice drink. Maybe Ri Ri has just become terribly efficient! LOL

LOL well actually if they are "whistling" it's time for a very fast run to the vet I would think!

I used the term as it was one of my granny's favorites if we whined about being bored...she'd tell us to go stand on our head in the corner and whistle Dixie (this may explain some things about me and my siblings! :P )
