    Whats basic settling in procedures for cresties. Feeding, Handling, etc ??? I'll get pics up as soon as I can get some decent pics.

    the first day i make sure they have plenty of water or just mist them extra in case they got dehydrated from the trip/show/however i got them. the second day i give them some cgd and just let them settle and don't bother them too much. i don't usually handle them until i've had them for about 4-5 days just so they can destress and get used to their new environment.

    How do you help from keeping them from dropping their tails. My male i bought him without his tail so i didn't get a chance to get to see him with his

    make sure not to grab them by their tails or pinch their tails in the enclosure lid, etc. sometimes it is unavoidable though. my cat jumped up on the table where my juvies are and one dropped its tail and about a month ago i went to check on everyone as i do each morning and a juvie had dropped its tail overnight for no reason that i could see--perhaps a scuffle with a cage mate.
