Got a baby who can't keep a meal down...
:(
Misty is a petco mystery snake. This petco's manager and at least one employee keep several BP's at home and their husbandry in store is pretty good.
She was about 62g when I brought her home, I got her to eat a tiny hopper the day I brought her home, and another a few days later. Since then she has regurged twice, each a day after eating (man, thats smelly). 4 days between attempts.
Shes pretty hollowed out, underside is all concave. I'm worried about her. Any advice?
Re: Got a baby who can't keep a meal down...
After some reading it seems I tried again way too soon. I'm going to wait her out a while before offering again. She's a really pretty girl, maybe a spotnose or a mystic. I think she looks kinda like a BEL complex, one of my breeders I've bought a couple BP's from said spotnose right off though.
Right now though I just want her to be healthy. Poor little noodle.:(
Re: Got a baby who can't keep a meal down...
Hi,
I'd also triple check the temps inside the hides where the snakes spend the majority of their time. I'd also stop any handling etc and make sure everything is on point.
There is nothing in the above to contradict the waiting period so the snakes have a chance to rebuild the gut bacteria etc - it's more focused on trying to identify the cause of the first regurge.

Hi, I had the same problem, different store, almost same size snake, regurge on 2nd feeding at the house.....
The Higher up posted a lot of info to follow in my thread if you have not seen it yet.

Good luck on the recovery of your snake.
