i know i get a bad rep but how lung duse it take for my snake to shad

Usually a week. Their eyes will be blue for 3-5 days, then clear up and once they clear they should shed within 2 days.

When their eyes clear after going blue, does that mean that their eyecaps have come off or does this happen later?

The eyecaps should come off with the old skin when they do the actually shedding which is usually about 48 hours after they appear "normal" again.

Remember too, that you need to raise your humidity to about 65-75%. This will help with the shedding process, and after shedding, return the humidity to 50-60%.
