    The Mango Gene is Kaput?
is there something going on in the Pinstripe?

this was something new and cool but sad. Brian/BHB hatched a "new" BP about a week ago from a 1.0 Pastel Crystal x 0.1 Pin. it was a bright and solid orange snake w/ a little purple flecks. he introduces the Mango to the world here: https://youtu.be/t-a87qq-Lzs?t=187

and talks more about it later in the vid here: https://youtu.be/t-a87qq-Lzs?t=539 and then here: https://youtu.be/t-a87qq-Lzs?t=910

apparently he's hatched a few of these over the past 15 years but this was the first one to live and crawl outta the egg.
    -- 3 from normal x Pin
    -- 2 from unknown x Pin
-- and this lastest one from a Pastel Crystal x Pin

and it goes beyond his own animal producing it. Kevin/NERD and another breeder hit on the same animal from Pin's but they died in egg. and sadly, Brian announced yesterday, that the Mango had passed: https://youtu.be/Yo1rV2l9KfU?t=649 so this thing is rare and genetic but i think that unfortunately this is just a fatal morph. :(

anyways most of us are not big, famous breeders but have u ever seen anything like this w/ the Pin in your collection or projects? anything else new or dinker pop out?

Not meant to survive...not a healthy (viable) combination, obviously.

I saw all those videos, looks like trying to make Mangos would just be cruel at this point as so many records show that those animals never live, even if one did survive I'd just assume it has something wrong with it and probably have a short and possibly painful life. Some things just aren't men't to be.

i don't think they were trying for it and it just randomly pops out of a Pin on very rare and infrequent occasions. it's exciting and beautiful but does seem fatal and therefore, the Mango is kaput.

    :(
