    i have no idea what type of bug this is, found in my BP’s aspen. i was doing a complete bedding change and only saw this one once i had thrown most of it out. there are also a lot of black specks, but i checked and none were moving or anything, so i don’t think they’re mites. i moved my BP to a different enclosure and he is on paper towels now.
    please tell me what i should do, kind of freaking out

    Snake mites are very small and black in color.

    Just crush a few of them on some white paper with a spoon and see if they’re full of blood ..

    To me it looks like a clover mite. Not gonna do damage to your snake. There are tons of tiny insects that go in and out of every terrarium. Theres not much you can do about them, but your snake probably doesnt notice.:)
