Scale Rot?
Hey everyone! So I got my first BP a few weeks ago! She’s been eating really well which is great, she’s having her first she’s which is also great! But I noticed that she might have scale rot? When I got her I noticed one or two scales that looked questionable, but I checked on her a few days after feeding and noticed that she had a much larger patch. She’s on aspen as of right now, so I know that it’s not super wet substrate, is this scale rot? Or something else? If it is, is there a way to treat it at home or straight to the vet? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e6091115b8.jpg

Re: Scale Rot?
My main concern is I know it has to be dry to help heal scale rot, but she’s in shed right now so I don’t know what to do

Re: Scale Rot?
Hmm,
I'd triple check the temps to make sure it isn't a burn ( but it would be an odd spot for one ) and keep the humidty high enough to let her shed ( but avoid actually wet substrate ) and see how it looks after the shed.

I agree with dr del...I wouldn't run to the vet now, wait until she sheds & see how it looks. It's hard to say what that is right now.
