    Broken Freezer - Warm Rats
    Hey, y'all!

So, I woke up to a dead freezer and a bunch of rats sitting at room temperature. My question is....is it too risky to use the rats for feeding due to a possible bacteria buildup? They've been at room temp. for at least 12 hrs.

Sorry but I'd say they're all trash

I'd smell them first if you wanted to use one for imidiate feeding, but I wouldn't refreeze

If the rats are no longer cold at all I'd say they're trash too -they'll make some buzzards happy in an out of the way location. ;)

But if you're saying the freezer was off for 12 hours but they stayed cold inside (even if thawed), they should be OK to use immediately, just don't re-freeze.
And assuming they smell ok too.

    Rotten luck, Shayne. :(

That’s what I was afraid of. They actually started to smell so I’m gonna say “no”. My poor Monty’s acting like he’s starving, too. lol

Thank y’all so much for the insight.
