Mike Posner is known for songs such as "Cooler Than Me" and "I Took a Pill in Ibiza."

(CNN)Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Mike Posner says he was airlifted to a Colorado hospital after he was bitten by a baby rattlesnake.

Posner, who is known for writing songs such as "Cooler Than Me" and "I Took a Pill in Ibiza,"posted an Instagram video of himself Friday on a hospital gurney.
"That venom is no joke!" he said.

Posner said he was able to get the anti-venom in time, but will have to stay in the hospital for a couple of days and will not be able to walk for weeks.

According to his social media, Posner is walking across the US and releasing a song in each state. But for now, he says he is taking a break from the walk to enjoy a bed and air conditioning.

 So now they've changed the headline to this: "Singer attacked by a rattlesnake"!? Oh c'mon people...stepping next to a slow-moving rattlesnake of ANY age
is asking for trouble...& this was an excitable "baby", which has SO many predators in nature to worry about! Posner wasn't looking where he was going, it's very
simple...but do we blame the human for the bite he got when perceived as a threat to native wildlife? No, of course not....:( "Shame on that snake for defending
himself". I mean, what could go wrong when a giant warm-blooded creature towers over you & you're less than an inch tall? :snake:

Snakes get such a bad rep and the news will always try to make things look more dramatic than they actually are to get more views. I wonder how he got himself bit as rattlesnakes rattle so loud and clearly warn you to stay away. Never heard of this singer but I hope he's okay regardless.

Walking while not paying attention where he put his feet...;) I'm not familiar with him either & bet he'll pay closer attention from now on. :snake:
