    Ball python suddenly scared
I got my baby ball python a month or two ago. He is now around 6 months old. Ever since i got him I've been holding him and he usually likes it he crawls around my arm and likes to explore. So yesterday i fed him a fuzzy and he took it and ate it like normal he went to his hide and hid there like normal. So today i wake up and he's kinda active but eventually he goes to his other hide which I've never seen him go into. I put my hand on the tank and he gets scared and moves his head away really fast i didn't think anything bad about it. But then later i put my hand near the tank again and he does the same thing so now whenever i even get my hand close to his tank he get scared. Is there something wrong or is this normal?

Normal & instinctive...he feels vulnerable in the "open" & you might be swooping toward him like a predator (more than you realize). ;)
Snakes don't identify us visually...they use scent, heat & touch clues. Many things scare them visually, they need more clues to know what's happening...remember that.
Slow down & imagine being in his world & not seeing very well.
