Question on feeding multiple snakes in 1 room
Probably a dumb question but here goes......

It's just me and my daughter in the house, so I'm setting up a 3rd bedroom as a "snake room".

All the snakes will be in different enclosures, But right now all the snakes are in different rooms/places in their separate enclosures,

and all are on different feeding days, so when one is on 48 hours rest from feeding, the others can still be handled.

If they are all in the same room, should they all be on the same feeding schedule? If 2 are fed one day, but not the other 2 will they get

"jealous" and be in feed mode from smelling the rats being fed to the others and be harder to handle from expecting to be fed too?

    Thanks for any input

Re: Question on feeding multiple snakes in 1 room
That really depends on the snake, mine don't really, just don't go near them with the tongs and if they have been tap trained they they will know its not feed time anyway.
mine are all in the same room and not all are fed at the same time due to there varying ages, some weekly, some every other week and monthly on my adults and some may be in shed etc, which will throw them out of your normal feeding schedule anyway
    Hope this helps

They can certainly be in the same room and fed on different schedules, however, if there is feeder smell in the room or house you should probably avoid handling until the following day. Also if I am thawing/warming feeders downstairs, my boas and retics upstairs are very aware of it.

For convenience most of mine are on the same schedule.

Jealous? NO but on feeding mode also like the one that are fed? Yes, so it will put you at higher risk to get tagged.

Most of my snakes are in one room and are often on different feeding schedules. The one's that aren't getting fed will get hyped up when other snakes are eating so I don't handle any of them during feeding times. I also agree that if you hook/tap train them it usually shuts off their feeding response.

All my snakes are in one room, and have different feeding schedules. I usually feed later in the evening, so I do my handling earlier in the day. If I have prey defrosting in the snake room I won't bring any snakes out until the following day.

Thanks for the replies, Easy enough, feed at night (which I do now) and no handling the other snakes until the next day.

Appreciate all the advice I get from this site.
