empty 20 gallon and 10 gallon tank also 2 32 qrt tubs (what to put in them)
Now that i have an empy 20 gallon tank and 10 gallon tank i need to fill them...well i am thinking of having 10 of these yellow headed geckos with a leaf cham or 2 in the 20 gallon long (the breeder said it was okay because they both come from the same place) and in the 10 gallon im either going to put an indonesian tree boa or undecided.
In the 2 extra tubs in the racki will put a bci or bcc and maybe a blood python.
The other 2 are for my brazillian rainbow boa and ball python (who i still gone :worry: )
Well i wanted some info on if the 20 gallon 2 have the 2 species coincide is okay?

Just because animals come from the same place doesn't mean they are going to be ok together.

From what I know about chams (I've had one) they are very secretive and territorial, and much prefer living alone.

A cool option is a planted terrarium with dart frogs. I believe there is some species of arboreal geckos that can live with darts.

I haven't heard of an indonesian tree boa before I don't think.. got pics of one?

Obviously a bci/bcc/blood is going to outgrow your tubs at some point.

of course i know the bci/bcc/ or blood will outgrow it thats why i am looking at more cages. the geckos i have decided to put in the 20 gallon live in clusters in the wild and do not fight maybe dart frogs will be better than a leaf cham. the indonesian tree boa in the genus candoia only gets to be 2 feet and does not stay on the branches unless breeding.

The candoia carnita looks somewhat like this http://www.riesenschlangen.ch/candoi...ta_ssp__1.html and she eats green tree frogs and pinkys.

I have a mass supply of tree frogs at my pet shop so it should work out.

also i will probably get a black blood python.

Oh duh.. candoia. lol one of my favorite snakes.

sumatran short tails (black bloods) are the smallest of the blood python complex.

As I said in another thread, you can keep one pair of one dart frog species together, as more will fight to the death (females drown each other) you can keep one species of terrestrial dart and one arboreal dart together. Alternately you can divide a larger tank so you can have more than one species in the tank.

so you think something like 100 gallon or 50 gallon would be better?

Better for what? As far as snakes go, I am not a fan of tanks at all, tubs have many advantages.

For darts, yes a big tank can be very cool. It all depends on what you want to keep.

I am talking about having a species of geckos coincide with dart frogs. I think i will get a 50 gallon or bigger top house them... i know tanks suck for snakes...my ball python just escaped from one!!!!

Yeah.. darts don't need a ton of room. You can go to this site to read more about them:
