    Meet Akira, Jungle/GTP Cross
So I don't normally make impulse snake purchases, but this deal was too good for me to pass up so I got her yesterday.

Akira is a 2015 female Chey-Viridis (carpondro). She is 50% Jungle and 50% GTP, and is an F2 carpondro bred by Eugene Bessete. I purchased her from Vin Russo.

Definitely has some strong jungle characteristics and is huge, I'd guess around 6.5+ feet. She doesn't seem to have an attitude, but she is ridiculously flighty when being handled. Time will tell what her temperament is like.

Will definitely get more pics after she's had a chance to settle a bit, but here are some teasers!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...69947861c8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9a4917436e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1344f53123.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3f26c62db2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2faf46f2a7.jpg

Sweet Carpondro! They're one of the few hybrids that I like. :)

Super stunning!! Congrats on such a striking new beauty!

P.S - did you by chance name her after the Akira movie? (TETSUOOOOOOO!!!)

Super cool. I know so many people that hate those hybrids but I've liked them for years. I just impulsively picked up a jagpondro, and size wise he seems to take after a chondro, he's just a little guy.

Cool looking Carp, congrats! I sure hope she settles down for you. I have a Jungle that I bought as an adult that is extremely flighty. He just won’t settle down at all. So I only handle him now when necessary.

Please keep posting about her, I’m interested in how she comes along. I’m sure others are interested as well.

Hahaha I knew someone would ask that! The name actually means "Graceful Strength" but good reference :)

I sure will, I'm interested to find out myself lol. About to place an order for an AP A20 or possibly even an A25. I wanna be able to give her some good vertical space.

I believe she was from Vin's private collection, given to him by Eugene Bessette. EB had bred one of his OS chondros to a Jungle, and then he bred 2 of the babies to prove that this hybrid was fertile. She is one of those F2 carpondros from that pairing.

She slammed a frozen rat for me tonight, don't think I'll have any feeding problems lol
