Re: Difference in lessers
Thanks for sharing! I'm not sure why, maybe its because its gradual, but i didnt even notice my lesser girl had changed. i was comparing pics on my lesser girl and she has done that as well over time. Neat stuff!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...665cf7a07f.jpg

Re: Difference in lessers
I have two from the end of last season that are sisters and very different. Obviously the bigger one never misses a meal but their color is way different as well. I believe the variation is just luck of the draw.
I would say your darker one won't stay that dark simply because it needs to have its first shed and it will lighten up quite a bit just from that.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...092e0a0a3f.jpg

I’m sure it’ll continue to lighten up with progressive sheds. But here’s that dark lesser baby after its first shed. It’s tempting to keep to see how the colors shift over time.

Here’s a more recent comparison picture between the two. It did take a while to get the darker one to eat. So at this point she has only had a few meals and 2 sheds. But she is still significantly darker. I still plan to hold onto her and see how well the darkness holds.

Re: Difference in lessers
She has so much blush, is that a common thing for Lessers?
Re: Difference in lessers
I’m really not sure as these are from my first clutch of lessers and I got 3 of them. Though from what I’ve seen, it appears that the lighter more tan colored one is more common and normal. But I love the colors of the darker lil girl. I feel like she would be a good one to start mixing into axanthic.
Hopefully someone else with more experience with lessers will chime in.
