    hatchlings first meal...
so I have 2 clutches shed and ready to eat, and I have 1 clutch super young and no shed yet. The first 2 clustches I got 10 out of 12 to eat. There are 2 that haven't eaten with a hopper mouse in their tub as we speak.

the hatchlings are kept in hatchling tubs from RBI, they are very narrow but long. They have a heat gradient from like 88 to 80. I put tiny water bowls and a bunch of rolled up balls of parer towels to give them Security cover.

what can I do to get these last 2 to eat, obviously I am doing something right since the other 10 ate.. I even got 1 hatchling to take thawed pinky rat as their very first meal!!! :D:cool:

I agree you're doing something right to have such a high percentage to have taken their first meal. At this point I don't think you have anything to worry about. With the clutches I've had so far, it seems I get about 90% to eat a live hopper the first offering at a week after first shed and then the rest have taken their first meal on the second or third attempt with doing nothing different but giving them some extra time to get hungry and all of mine have figured it out by the third try. I would wait 5-7 days and try offering a live hopper again. Good luck.
