    Thinking about getting a burm
Hi I have 2 ball pythons and was thinking about getting a burm. I really like the albinos. My questions are: what should the temps and humidity level be for a neonate? ( I know there is a caresheet but I read all over and see different answers). Next what should I use for heat? some people use radiant heat panels but I fing them to be to expensive. Can I use flexwatt when it is an adult? also do they need uva lighting? If someone can post pics of their adults and or cages I would appreciate that.

A burm is a poor choice for a second species.. they get BIG.. FAST! Even a male can be 100lbs and 13'!

If you want something bigger, consider a red tail.

Red tails are not that expensive for normals , but albinos arent so cheap.

Just because an albino burm is cheap, is not a good reason to buy one.

How long have you been keeping your BPs?

Another BP is a fine choice, red tails and bloods are a much more reasonable step up from BPs.

Redtails are awsome:) And yes you can use flexwatt with any snake at any size...

BCI are more common, easier to care for (smaller and aren't as demanding of husbandry requirements) and less expensive.

Surinam is BCC.. colombian is BCI. Hogg island boas are also BCI (I recommend these guys! they're so cool!)

A captive bred colombian boa is around $75, more for an extra nice looking one.

CB hogg islands are usually around $150-200+

BCC are the most at $200 (low end) up to $600 or more.
