    5 month old ball python
I have a 5 month old ball python. He is eating every other day and sometimes he eats 2 mice a day. Is this normal? Am I feeding him to much? When I see him in a strike position like he is hungry I’m feeding him because he wouldn’t eat for the first month

He should be eating every 5-7 days. How big is the mouse?

The next thread will be he hasn’t eaten in months, lol. Sorry. like previously stated. That sounds to often and what is the actual size/weight prey item are you using? ✌️

I don’t know how to post the feeding chart, hopefully someone will. Yes your underfeeding, should have no trouble taking a hopper or a small mouse. What’s his weight?

I haven’t actually weighed him. I’ll try to go up in size and see if he will eat it

Ok. Ummm, sounds like you've got a lot to learn. But that's ok, you've found the right place to learn.

There is absolutely no reason to feed a snake more often than every 5 days. Most species, including BPs should be fed weekly as juveniles and less frequently as adults.

Fuzzies are WAY WAY too small for a BP. They eat hoppers fresh out of the egg for only 3-5 meals and move up to small adult mice.

It sounds like you could benefit from reading some basics. Here are some links that should help you...
