Do I need to put holes in the tubs for airflow?

OK, there is a ceiling fan in the room that is always on. is that sufficient? Do i need a fan pointing directly at it? btw thanks for all the help[ i appreciate it immensely.

I'd say it depends on the rack what is enough or not. I'm not familiar with that brand/model. On racks, I've seen gaps ranging from basically none to 3/8" or so. And obviously it is different on a bigger gap than a smaller one.
I'd run it for a bit with water in place, no snake, and see if it "smells stale" when opened up. Not sure if this is a scientific way to do it or if just getting non-stale is adequate, but that's the only way I can think of to test air flow without any risks.
I think you'd be better off with a few holes in the tub and no direct fan as that will probably blow a ton of humidity out compared to just normal air movement in the room. I'd guess a room fan is probably good, but hard to say remotely.
