I threw a mouse in with my 7 year old ball python tonight he/she struck at it but missed and got a piece of the substrate in its mouth. The substrate is a mulch like stuff don’t know exactly what it is. I bought the snake from a friend. But he/she tried to spit it out but I am pretty sure it didn’t come out I’m not sure if it’s stuck or if it was swallowed but it hasn’t bothered with the mouse since. Should I be worried? I was quite surprised it missed the mouse

Take the mouse out, try feeding again in a day or so.

She ate it after. But how is that substrate going to affect the her?

(S)he'll be fine.

Think of it like this. They have been eating in the wild for thousands of years. Nobody feeds them, they eat on the ground.

As long as there are no big, sharp pieces of substrate in the enclosure your snake will be ok.
