Play a little song for me ... ~ (replica radios with Iggy & Rae)
Happy World Music Day, everyone! (Even to our snakes who can't hear a thing.)

[Model names of each radio are listed under their respective pictures, along with country of origin and year of manufacture.]

    Artés AR3 (Spain, 1946)

    Allocchio Bacchini 53 (Italy, 1933)

Schaub und Schaub-Lorenz Super 229/II "Spitzkühler" (Germany, 1937)

Two pianos served as the surfaces upon which these photos were taken. They are the only non-miniature musical instruments being pictured here. :)

Magnificent photos and a cool glimpse into music history too!

I love how you put Ignis with the saxophone and Ravus with the violin. Ravus totally rocks the sophisticated classical music vibe while Iggy fits the jazz/swing vibe.

Lovely pianos as well, do you play?

Heh, I do always try to match the props for Ignis and Ravus based on what "vibe" seems to suit them best. I figured Rae has more of the classical alabaster sculpture look, while Iggy's bold pattern and bright colors make for a good visual representation of the lively sounds of jazz.

And yes, I used to play the piano, as well as the violin, all the way up through high school! The latter was very much not optional, since my mother is a professional violinist, haha. However, things got pretty busy in college and then medical school after that, so regrettably I dropped off in both instruments. I still love listening to music of all genres, though!

Two instruments and med school, that's pretty awesome! I also played the piano up until university started but stopped since life got busy.

I've noticed that you always put a lot of thought into matching Ravus and Iggy up with their props in your photos. Great stuff, the results are always fantastic.
