When to separate hatchlings from communal tub?
I chose to go the route of housing hatchlings together as I know many will be on their way to their new homes very soon enough. They have only shed once. For those that choose to house hatchlings in a communal tub- what is the latest point you separate them to their own tubs?

Same here. :)

Agreed with what was already said. Once they all shed, they go into their own tubs.

:giggle::giggle::giggle:I bet they were some cute feisty little ones!! Thank you for the advice! I’ve got them in their own separate tubs now :)

They were cute alright & "survivors" had they been wild, but such behavior is not typical of c/b rosy boas...they are generally more mellow, but as many others besides
me have said, I'll take a snake that is a "biter" any day, because they know how to EAT, & eating is "job 1". ;)
I bred that same mama rosy boa to a different mate the next year & their babies were far more mellow & 'typical'. Genetics really do matter & inbreeding weakens them.
The female had no relation to either male that she mated with (all were unwanted w/c rescues turned over to me from different areas), but the difference in their offspring was "striking"... -literally!
