    Why do they do this?
    Why do my ball pythons keep laying under their water bowl? It's the funniest thing ever. Especially when my big girl does it. You can barely even slide her tub open sometimes lol. My temps are good, humidity averages in the 60's. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...61fd6ee7c0.jpg

    Hiding. They like to hide in and under things for covert defense.

    They will hide under anything. I can’t use paper towels as substrate because they just hide underneath it!

    Agree, it's hiding...they feel more secure in a cave or rock pile...something that provides "back pressure", but in a pinch, hey a water bowl can work, lol. ;)
    If you give her hides that fit tighter, & maybe if they are the heavier type too, she might leave the bowl alone.

    I agree as well. It's just funny seeing my nearly 2300 gram female hide under her water bowl. I'm like "you don't fit!" Haha
