    Breeding Question
First of all, I am not breeding yet. I have a female Dumerils Boa only 11 months old and am interested in buying a male Dum for possible breeding in a few years when she is ready.
The man I purchased Dembe from last year said he gets his Dumerils from the same breeder and is expecting a new clutch this summer.
My question is, does it matter if this clutch is from same mother as Dembe? What about same father? Is it ok if same mother but different father? Or does it need to be from a completely different set of parents for successful breeding?
This would be my first attempt at breeding but I love my Dumerils Boa. She is doing great and I hope to get a litter from her.
I need to know if I should look at different breeders. Thanks so much!!

    Re: Breeding Question
They say you can breed one generation back from the parent. or brother and sister are often paired too, but you obviously stand more of a chance of not getting any genetic deformeties with an unrelated pair
    Hope this helps

Dums are pretty easy find though so there's really no need to breed related pairs. Usually that's done when trying to prove out a new morph.

This season's crop of baby dums should be dropping over the next few months so there will be plenty on the market shortly.
