    Can snakes have allergies???
I never even thought of this. Katie just asked me...
...and I honestly have no clue.

Can snakes be allergic to things like pollen, animal dander, etc...etc...etc...???

i dont think they're allergic to that stuff or they at least don't have allergies in the way we have them. they are allergic/toxic to soft woods that haven't been kiln dried like Pine and Cedar w/ Phenol Oils, other essential oils and fumes.

I've never heard of such a thing, but I don't see why not, they have an immune system? Might be a challenge to actually KNOW about it...they can't cough
or sneeze, but could maybe get skin/scale issues or symptoms of an RI, & maybe an "allergy" would add stress that would push them towards other illness?
I could picture them being allergic to cleaning products, medications, mite-killing chemicals...stuff like that.

Challenge: whoever takes their pet to a specialized vet in the near future, toss out that question to them & see what they say? :snake: (& report back please?)
