    has anyone ever used dry leaves or dry wood for your enclosures??? If not why is it bad news, would insects mites anything related be a problem??I ask because maybe the real thing would be better for them.

    Too much risk of bugs/bacteria.. not to mention the mold that grows in decomposing vegetation. In no way would it be better.

    "Real thing"? ... Unless you're importing foliage from western africa, you'd be introducing your animal to all kinds of microscopic beasties that they have no natural defenses for.

    Paper, water bowl, hide box(s) ... keep it clean, clean, clean ... they could not care less about anything else. ;)
