Did I Get Lucky

I produced this BP last season the pairing was a banana pastel (male) X Lesser spider pastel (female) it produced 5 eggs. The results were 1 - normal female, 1 - banana lesser spider pastel (male), 1- banana pastel (male), 1 - lesser pastel spider (female), and this girl pictured below. At first I thought it was a lesser super pastel because it's a female but now that it's growing I'm starting to think I may have gotten lucky and produced a female banana. I don't know the origin of my sire, it was a rescue I got off of craigslist from a kid that was leaving for college and could bring it with him. He said he bought it from a breeder at an expo in White Plains NY.

Let me know if you think it's a banana. I know the pictures are not he best but the camera on my phone is all I have.

Hmm what color are the pupils? From my experience bananas have a pink tint in their pupils, I learned this from the clutch I had last year, my 2 bananas had this tint and the rest of the clutch didn't. Here is a pic of mine showing it's pink pupil.

No freckles?

It's a banana lesser pastel at the minimum (could be super pastel but at this stage it's hard to tell between an above average pastel combo and a super, when they hatch is the best time to tell)

As for freckles they are variable depending on the combo, when you pair certain genes to the Banana they go from faded to very faded to non existent and Lesser is one of those genes that clean up the freckles.

As for luck Male maker will throw a female here and there after years of producing males well over 50 CG combos I finally hit on 2 females in the same clutch from a male maker.

My Banana Lessers come out dark.
Assuming no freckles: I was thinking Banana Lesser Pastel as well.

I'm not a morph expert so I can't weigh in of that aspect, just here to say that's one gorgeous snake!!

to answer your thread topic question, yes - u did get lucky if u hatched out a Banana girl.

(i got lucky also.)
