    First Shed
    Dexter's first shed with me!
It was all in one piece and I checked for eyecaps, vent, and tail- all shed perfectly!
I've only had him for a little over a month and he's due for his 3rd meal on Friday.
I honestly feel like I have the easiest ball python ever (although I am biased[emoji16]). He's my first and only snake too!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac9d99b157.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3193a0ed7a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7dbc9b55d5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c4e23503e3.jpg

He's so beautiful! Looks like he had a good shed too. My little one still hasn't had his first shed with me and I'm both excited and nervous about it. :P

Thanks! It's overcast where I am but in the natural light he is iridescent. And I would have taken a better picture of the shed but he had also taken a very healthy poo so you can imagine how that smelled [emoji1784]
I was so nervous about it not coming out in one piece but I just focused on the humidity levels and left him alone bc of all the threads I read that was the single issue most had!

I'm also so glad that someone on this forum recommended Cyprus mulch and coco fiber because it really held the humidity in so I didn't have to bother him by misting so often.
Especially bc I have him in an exo-terra.

I use coco fiber as well and it does wonders for the humidity! I'm so glad this website exists lol.

Congrats! I just got my first bp also, a Mojave male that was born 4/2/19. Coincidentally I named him Dexter also lol. Best of luck to you and your guy. He's handsome.

I will be willing to bet, he will not be your last. Hard to have just one. :D. Congrats on your first. To this day, I still get a tad nervous during any of my snakes shed. You always want them to have that perfect one each and everytime. Great pics. Thanks for sharing

I haven't had him for long and so far I am good with the one but that will probably change as he is 10 years.
But definitely not for a few more years though!
