Black back question/ super long alien head
Would this hatchling be considered a black back? What is the cut off for being not a black back? Would any other hatchling be considered one?
Also, check out the long alien head! Not sure on the definition of black back but I can say without hesitation it is a stunningly good example of a black pastel. :bow:

Appreciated. Their dad, Sage, has been the dad of all three of my clutches now but I can't really say I'm disappointed.

Mica, the mum is a normal, and Sage, the dad is a black pastel. I attached pictures of Mica so you can see how her alien heads attach to her back spots. I don't think that counts as black backed. I added a photo of Sage, and then one of Beryl, a black pastel hold back from Mica and Sage's first clutch ever that has less back spotting.
