Our New Male BP Is On The Way!

Our new wonderful male from Adam at 8BallPythons is on his way and will be in our hands tomorrow! He's an 05 100% het for albino and we can't wait to see him! Thanks Adam for setting us up with this great male!

Here he is folks.....he'll have his name by tomorrow (I'm picking from a list of 5 names I love so once he's actually here I'll know who he is LOL)

Well of course Robin! *whispering* he's terribly intelligent and advanced for a baby boy snake...don't let the others know...they'll just be jealous of his obvious superiority! hahahahahahahahaha

Good lord I'm either way too over excited here or I just stole one too many chocolate bars from the kid's trick or treating bags!

Oh and just to top off this great week our two stubborn females that were refusing frozen/thawed this past 3 weeks happily snarfed down live tonight. They may one day take f/t, for now live is what they want...live is what they get...I'm just happy to see them eating again. Snakes eating, snakes shedding, a new male on the way....what a good week (and boy did we need one around here!)

Thanks everyone! We're really pleased to be getting him!

Daniel, when this male is ready we'll breed him to a couple of our big normal girls and keep all their daughters. Breed them back to this male and see who proves out that way. I figure it's a win/win...they give me some albino's that's great...they produce normal females for future breeding stock....that's just as great! Any males we'll find good homes for or raise them until we do find places for them. We're in it for the long haul so it's all good as they say.

At some point it would of course be nice to get a 100% het for albino female but that's not realistic right now so we'll just go the slower route and have fun with whatever the genetics odds give us. Just like my own kids...as long as they're healthy right....LOL.

Heck since I've never hatched out a snake, let alone seen one hatch out....I'll be just as goofy happy over whatever sticks it's head out of any egg next year as long as it's a live, healthy baby ball python!

There is nothing wrong with the slow route :) ....Thats how I plan on getting pieds :D
