    Dark Tongue Tips
Hey there everyone. So I’m currently handling Fírnen, and I just noticed that the tips of his tongue are now a blue black-ish color. Has anyone seen this before? I know that his tongue used to be completely pink, so it seems strange that it’s now turned darker.

I've never heard of a snake's tongue changing color. :confusd: Many snakes do have black tongues...others do have pink tongues, like my Trans Pecos rat snakes.
Are you sure you're remembering correctly? Is Firnen your only snake? How long have you had him? Has he been sucking on licorice...? ;)

Haha, Fírnen rejects the idea of licorice as far as I can tell. I suspect it might have been a trick of the light against my sweatshirt, or I might have been seeing his veins through his tongue. It sure was strange looking though!
He is my only snake and I’ve had him for 1 year and 9 months now, he’ll be 2 years old in July :)
