    Reptile Boarding in California
    Hi everyone,

I知 heading back to the UK for a while (I知 pregnant and need to take advantage of my free healthcare lol!) so I知 going to fly my 4-month old BP over to join me. I need to get through a bit of paperwork before this can happen and he will likely not be ready to travel when I leave in a few weeks.

I知 looking for somewhere I can keep him for at least 2 up to maybe 8 weeks while I知 finalising his paperwork. I知 in Northern California but willing to travel for the right place, right price. Does anyone have experience/recommendations with boarding? In a store, pet hotel or with an individual sitter?

Thanks so much in advance :)

I've never tried or needed to board any snakes, but you might try contacting all exotic vets in your area, as they may do it, or someone on their staff may
do it, or they may know of someone who would. Also, contact any herp societies in N. California (I'm trying to remember the names, there used to be at
least one...I'm a former So. Californian.) What I wouldn't do is board him in a pet store...it's too easy for them to get mites in with new snakes, & while there
"may" be some that you could trust, it just seems more risky to me, in terms of stress & exposure. Hope it all works out for you...especially your ultimate intent
to move overseas with him...I think that's going to be expensive & complicated, but I hope I'm wrong. :snake:

Thank you so much! These are some great ideas I hadn稚 thought of. Will look into the vets and societies!

Moving him definitely isn稚 easy but not impossible, just takes some jumping through hoops and waiting around. I知 expecting it to cost around $650 in total. Similar to flying a human lol.

Here are some NorCal reptile societies, the first two are societies I've been to during my time there, lots of good folks:

The couple, Sam and Naomi, that run this store have a lot of contacts, help a lot with rescues and such, they might also be able to assist:

    Good luck!
