Aww Man

I went to my tank to check on Cloud it been like 3 days his been makeing new skin. and now I went to check on him his got out I was like how did his get out I start to worry sigh I went looking for him his was downstair but i did not want to touch it because his was still make new skin but pick up him and put him back in the tank.. so guys is it that I touch Cloud and put back in the tank or i have to sonk him because I touch him? or his be ok?


EDIT: I hear people say they don't like to be pick up when makeing new skin but cloud did bit me for it seem cool litter snake I think I'm lucky to have a snake who is nice...

From what I think I understand from your post...


Its not going to hurt your snake to touch hime while in shed...but he probably won't be to happy about it. If he is having problems shedding the OLD skin soaking definately helps along with misting the enclosure.

ok How long do it take the old skin to come off?

The shedding process generally takes between 5-7 days. The eyes will be cloudy for a few days, then they clear up, then about 2-3 days later the snake sheds.
