    Taking BP out of hide
How bad is it to take my BP out of her hide? I know the less stress the better and that her hide is her safe place. I've only done it twice, once when deep cleaning the tank and another time to take her to the vet. Now I am cleaning/rearranging the viv and it just so happens that this week shes decided to spend all but an hour a day in her hide and the hour she's out is like 2-3am. I have been putting this off waiting for her to come out but I'm becoming impatient haha. So how bad is it to just pull her out? It's also getting close to feeding day which will add on another 2-3 days before I can do anything.

It's not the "end of the world"... she might be going into shed cycle, so you might want to know anyway (& not waste food, if she's going "blue").

Be gentle about it, try giving her your scent & touch first (so she feels less threatened by something familiar) but don't lose sleep over it...she won't.

If you want to be extra nice (like if she's in blue) have a dark container ready that she can hide in while you work on things...

Great, thank you! I do have a little container with a hide and a water dish for her. She's going to love her new set-up once it's done.

Mine are almost always in their hides when I take them out. Just lift the hide slowly and make sure the snake is awake before grabbing. When you pick up the snake remember that their predators come from above, so come in from the side and slide yoyr hand under the snake to pick it up. Move slowly and you'll be fine.
