My sand boa did something odd with his last shed- part of the tail shed prematurely. A few days later the remainder of his shed came off nicely and all seemed well. However now, about four days later, the part that had shed before looks awful! It feels raised, and patches of scales even came off!
At the suggestion of a friend I've been treating it with aloe twice a day, but I'm not sure if I should also wash and pat dry?
