Appropriate Weight Gain Question
So in the first month that Sushi has been with me, there was a total weight gain of 55g. From 190g to 245g. All feedings consisted of adult f/t mice, typical weight was 23g. There were 6 feedings, at 5 days intervals, during that first month. Since then, there has been 1 more feeding, and I will be taking a new weight this afternoon. My question is, based on the image below, am I overfeeding?

The weight gain seems right on par to me with general averages I have seen out there, but this image makes me wonder. I can see some white between the scales, not when he is stretched out, but only when heavily coiled in the hide. Is this just something you normally see when they are coiled like this, or should I start spacing feedings out a little more?
As always, thanks in advance!
Re: Appropriate Weight Gain Question
A body shot looking down would be more helpful in assessing body condition. Personally at that weight I feed every 7 days. :)

It's not something to be concerned about unless you're seeing it on a snake that's laying stretched out. In that case, you'll likely also see back cleavage on either side of the spine. THAT is the sign of an obese Ball Python.
